I was born and raised in Beijing, came to the States seven years ago, on one hand to pursue a higher degree of education, on the other hand and more importantly, to see and learn about different cultures, customs and people.

My last name ZHU (朱), pronounced as jew, is pronounced the same as the word PIG (猪) in Chinese (for this reason all my friends call me pig and I enjoy it). The actual meaning of the word in Chinese and Japanese is the color RED (or crimson to be exact).
