About Me

Mhm... I've done a lot of things trying to find what I wanted to be in life (The only thing left is whoring, I should definitely try it).

I enjoy travelling, meeting new people, reading awful books that are later hidden out of embarrassment.

Surprisingly, I don't like eating out. I don't know why but I just don't feel as comfortable and relaxed as when I cook at home and enjoy a nice conversation.

I'm a party kind of guy but sometimes I also like being very quiet. I guess we are all similar in that aspect, and I like to respect that. If you don't feel like going out, I won't push it, and I expect the same.

PHILOSOPHY

"God give me truth", as a song goes (a song by someone I won't utter since this is a profound moment and saying "Britney Spears" would take all the depth away). That's my philosphy in life. I try not to be so shallow as not to see what really matters. Sometimes it's hard, but at least I try to keep my eyes open to avoid falling into a meaningless life.

Another quotation that could define my philosophy is one that I got from a movie:

- Qué estabas dispuesto a hacer antes de morir?
- Estaba dispuesto a amar.

- What were you willing to do before dying?
- I was willing to love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I could show people around the city, but I prefer surfers to be independent.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't been hosted yet but I did host some people and it was a great experience. My routine got altered completely and I enjoyed it big time. I was about to get hosted in Medellin, Colombia, but finally I got on a plane in Bogota and came back home, but I'm definitely trying it as soon as I have the possibility again. It seems fun.

Interests

I enjoy photography a lot. Every time I need to get away, I just grab my camara and away I go.

I also love music and books.

Music, Movies, and Books

It depends on my mood. But I usually listen to pop rock music and hip hop: No Doubt, Nicole Scherzinger, Anastacia, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Christina Aguilera.

Movies: Thelma & Louise, What dreams may come, Ao Comeco do Fim, Cidade de Deus, Steel Magnolias (cheesy, I know). I totally love Titanic. I've seen it thousands of times and I still cry everytime. Ok, I'd better stop talking or else no one will send me a message.

I'm currently reading A Long Way Down by Nick Horny. Awesome book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not so long ago I danced to Dr. Psiquiatra down the streets of a really small village while people on bikes passed me by wearing puzzled faces.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't think I could teach anyone anything, but I'm an English teacher, so I know English... and photography, wordpress, photoshop, lightroom as well. I also know about bizarre music.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, France, India, Israel, Netherlands, Peru, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Uruguay
