About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel the world before I grow up and become boring!

ABOUT ME

I am a student from San Diego State University currently in a year exchange/erasmus program in Madrid (UCM) I am Mexican-American I have come to Spain to learn about Spanish literature and to work on writing academically in Spanish. I lived the first 10 years of my life in Tijuana, Mexico and the other 11 in San Diego, CA USA in different countries but always 15 minutes away from a border, in fact the biggest official border crossing in the world so I love the fact that I can call both these countries my home and I guess that always being close to the melting pot has made me a very open person who loves diversity because I have always lived around it.

PHILOSOPHY

The world is to big and diverse to stay in one place, so we must all strive to cross at least one border in our lives.

Music, Movies, and Books

love, love, love Every single Audrey Hepburn movie but my favorite is Breakfast at Tiffany's. i am a sucker for musicals, and love anything in film that is in black in white. I have no favorite music because I like a little bit of every genre but I must admit The Beatles are played daily in my life and BOOKS my love so far Como Agua para Chocolate, Aura, and Three Cups of Tea are high up in the list we shall see if these hcange with the time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had my first big intercontinental travel experience in summer 2007 and I have not been able to get rid of the travel bug. I have been in the pyramids in Giza, in a tiger temple in Thailand, in the Cañon del Sumidero in Chiapas, Xcaret in Quintana Roo, dinner in the Eifel tower, walked in in the Shakespeare's old globe theater... and i hope this list keeps getting longer and more amazing

Teach, Learn, Share

I am comparative literature major, and fluent in English and Spanish I would be able to help anyone when it comes to language barriers whilst I am in Spain and when I go back home to San Diego. I am also a great cook when it comes to Mexican cuisine so weather i am surfing or hosting you are most certainly be able to get a authentic Mexican meal if you ask for one.

Countries I’ve Visited

Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Senegal, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, Vatican City State, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
