About Me

CURRENT MISSION

permanent vagabond / portable life

ABOUT ME

I spend too much time inside my head and not sleeping. I like summertime, living near the ocean, and long late nights. I'm passionate about the things around me and try to take pleasure in everything I do.

I'm interested in meeting & experiencing new people who can excite and challenge me.

I am looking to travel everywhere, and see everything. I am traveling long-term, bringing my business, and twenty beloved pairs of shoes, with me. I lived in Buenos Aires for five months last winter, and right now I'm in the midst of a cross-world trip going from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Mexico's Baja pensinsula, to Southeast Asia, to Europe, and then home via Iceland. That's my rough plan; I'm a commitophobe. I love to travel, but it does get lonely, so I'd like to host visitors in my new cities.

I run my own company and can be something of a workaholic, but I love what I do and take great pleasure in it. I like to unwind from a productive day with a glass of wine, good friends, and good food.

PHILOSOPHY

if it isn't going to harm anyone else, you should feel free to do it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf when I travel, and I host when I'm home. I'd like to have more people come to stay--send me a message!

It's great to get to see my city in a new light and meet so many interesting new people, all of them with fantastic stories.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had couchsurfers who've stayed one night and I haven't spent much time with. I've had couchsurfers I've partied with for three nights straight. I had one couchsurfer who came back and lived with us for three months! I've explored new territories in foreign lands and have learned more about the places I visit than I ever would have done staying in a hostel/hotel/motel/cardboard box, and have loved every second of it.

Interests

graphic design, typography, wonders of the world, weird science, learning new things, hedonism, catnapping, "getting lost", watching consecutive sunrises, acquiring new scars, midnight runs on the beach under a huge full moon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sometimes it's the smallest of details that leave me wonderstruck—a particular crack in the sidewalk, watching a street vendor expertly cook up noodles, a sign posted in the middle of nowhere. I've seen so many amazing things, I wouldn't even know where to start.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm trying to learn little bits of the languages of the places i visit, so I'm an utter student in that respect. I can teach you the languages I know. I can teach you anything about typography or graphic design! I only cook once in a blue moon, but I can open a bottle of champagne flawlessly, and can teach you how to do it, too.
