About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To wander aimlessly, discover something new, and try a lot of new-somethings for the first time.

ABOUT ME

I am not sure of many things, but I know that I really want to travel, be able to speak foreign languages, learn new things, and meet people from all over.

I started my months-long travel (I can’t call it RTW trip yet!) last September 2010, on my birthday! I am totally clueless despite reading many travel guides and blogs. Some of them fit me, some don’t, nonetheless, they inspire me to continue on; albeit no clear idea on what to do next.

I do not know what is in store for me, nor do I know how long will I do this. Sometimes, I get scared when people ask me what my plans are for the future. I often come up with nothing. For now, I only want to travel more, meet new people, learn and do fascinating things.

I will go where my heart feels like going and where my feet will take me.

EDIT:
I've stopped travelling for a while. I'm currently finishing my law degree, but still would love to meet travelers every now and then.

PHILOSOPHY

We only live once, so we should make the most out of it. (Cliche, I know :P)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed someone's couch for the first time last May 2011 and it was quite a nice experience! I've met a few people also and it's pretty wonderful. Also participated in a few events/gatherings especially those that involve dancing! I'm hoping to do more in the next months!

I am always up for a drink (or two or more) or coffee or a meal whenever I am home (or even when traveling, and some dancing, of course, so hit me up when you're around!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

1. Met a few people during CS events in Chiang Mai like weekly Beer Buffet and Salsa Nights
2. Stayed with a CouchSurfer for the 1st time for two weeks in Kuching, Malaysia with a friend and fellow CSer, Corinne.
3. Met with a few couchsurfers July 2011 during the Rainforest Music Festival. I had such a wonderful time with them!
4. Surfed someone's couch again just outside KL. My host Joy was so lovely and I've definitely found a lifelong friend!
5. Regular meet-ups with CSers in CM.

I haven't participated much but would love to do more in the future. It is wonderful to meet different people from various places as one person can greatly contribute to making one's trip unforgettable!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Waking up really early in Luang Prabang to see monks during alms giving - March 2010.
2. Waking up really early (again!) to watch the sunrise above the clouds in Kiltepan, Sagada, Mt. Province, Philippines - April 2010
3. Caving in Sagada and almost not making it! - April 2010
4. Snorkelling in Puerto Princesa and El Nido, Palawan. It is a must-do when you go to Palawan! - May 2009
5. Massive water fight in Chiang Mai, Thailand during the Songkran Festival April 2011. It was an amazing experience. I survived one week of it without getting sick! And I'll be back again next year!

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't have that many talents to share, but I can share my passion for dancing, and singing! If anyone would like to learn Latin dances, I am no expert, but I have some moves I can share! I am trying to learn more of it as of the moment.
