ABOUT ME

Little bit weird, Individual, laid back and easy going, honest, open.

PHILOSOPHY

but.....

stop thinking start doing..

and my new one

To the supremum !

Live life though experiencing as much as possible with the help of contrast.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 2013 i did a little couchsurfing in Italy, France and met one in Spain.

In 2015 i did some more surfing with my then girlfriend in Russia and China.

2017 i have couchsurfed once in japan and used to new hangouts app to meet locals and other travellers in japan and gran canaria and bogota

Ive met couchsurfers in my hometown on walks organised by other local couchsurfers.

2019 Jun --hosted my first couchsurfer in my parents place while they weren't there !!!!

2019 Sep - I stayed couchsurfed in flat in Bilbao .. then I moved in for a year!

COVID
during the covid couchsurfing changes i went AWOL, i managed to host 2 cyclists just for 1 night each with the website WARMSHOWERS, now im back looking to meet like minded people in Asturias..

now i have hosted sveral warmshowers and couchsurfers in gijon in 2022 and 23

Ive travelled in north and south america, china and south east asia. (everything twice)

Interests

I like to try everything at least once, im travelling the world looking for fulfillment in my life, so i can say i lived it.

cooking, hiking, cycling, working out, exploring, doing stuff, doing slightly dangerous stuff, i like playing computer games occasionally but dont mention that to anyone. exercising alot
drinking and eating. ( i cant overstress those too enough)

i like taking photos

Music, Movies, and Books

have read many books travelling. lots of good olds classics, and some newer stuff. gullivers travels, the house of spirits, one flew over the cuckoos nest, dr jekyl and mr hyde, lots of jules verne and books that have just been made into films after i read them - life of pi, cloud atlas. also read some joseph conrad, the illuminti triology by Robert anton wilson, Carlos castaneda, Isabelle allende, Osho, Joseph Conrad (he's that good), Charles Bukowski, Gogol, Laura Galego, David Mitchell, Carlos Ruiz zafon, Charles bukowski. Nowi try to read fiction In Spanish and

non fiction in English .
An Immense World: Ed Yong is a mind blowing book, ill be reading a lotmore ed yong in the future..Sapiens - Yuval Noah Harari,

without travel i read less, on the road i read more.

i think my favourite film is still la haine and also back to the future. ive seen a lot of those american series, but only the ones i liked. lost, breaking bad, deadwood, game of thrones. south park, rick and morty, BoJACK, and also the second series of westworld things actually made sense. Also now I try to watch series in Spanish, la casa de papel, chicas de cable, la templanza

music varies, the odd bit of guitar and piano people, feist, regina spektor. but im a sucker for something electronic 110bpm+ while exercising or working out. i have a fantastic unpopular taste in pop music too ! (Riri).dua lipa mabel etc. i take an mp3 player whereever i go.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

swimming with sea lions in the galapagos, climbing a mountain in bolivia, rafting down a river in the jungle in bolivia with just the guide for 5 days, walking the brenta dolomites in trentino and really getting to know the lay of the land, spent a week learning chinese kungfu in a 1300 yr old monastery in china, going the furthest south fishing for trout in lake windhond, ive seen things you cant imagine I've stood on the back deck of a blinker bound for the Plutition Camps with sweat in my eyes watching the stars fight on the shoulder of Orion...

this bit always seems like a lot of showing off, im sorry if it comes across that way.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am becoming a more experienced English teacher, i could teach you some maths but i think i forgot it all, (not the statistics though) i could maybe teach you how raise your level of conscience, but maybe thats something i could learn from you, i want to learn everything about food and wine from seed to plate. i drink too much but i never get drunk (except that one time).

i like to make this orgimai box http://www.mookeep.com/709

What I Can Share with Hosts

My unsurpassed excellence in the kitchen, and willing to apply myself to any tasks needed to be done, a rhetoric that is fallible in all areas but some may find highly amusing.
