About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Becoming a diving instructor !

ABOUT ME

I studied Geology (sciences of the earth) at university of Brest. I graduated three years ago. I'm 25 years old. I love geology and all stuffs linked with it (volcanism, tectonics, paleogeography ...). I love learning about my planet and the universe I live in. It gives a notion of time scales, space scales, that makes you humble. I lived in Brest for 6 years, and love this place. It's not a very beautiful place but people here are great ! Now I'm living 60 km away from the city, in a little village on the hills in the Armorican Natural Park. I want to become a beekeeper so that I can product things and be useful to my people, protect one of the most important parts of our ecosystem and live in the nature. I love free and scuba diving, playing music and juggling. I also love discovering countries hitch-hiking and traveling in general way, but that sounds obvious for people on this website I guess !

I lived 4 years on a boat with my parents and my sister, we went to spain, portugal, maroc, senegal and french caribbean. I lived 2 years in Apatou, french guyana. I learnt during this trip the love of sailing, discovering and a will to travel all the time ! I cannot stay too long in my city I have to get away and discover new cities, new people, new cultures ...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like the idea of sharing things for free. In the occidental world we live in, all is about money and i hate that. I like the idea of sharing a place you've got in your home, because it doesn't cost much and it can give you much more than expected.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I discovered couchsurfing at Antibes. I was hitch-hiking from Brest and was looking for a place to go put my tent. I met a girl on the beach who did not seem to be like the other people here (unfriendly and proud). I spent a little time talking with her and she told me she was mexican going up through europe, and hosted by a man in town, and that she found him on a website called couchsurfing. Then the man just popped up like coming of nowhere ! He offered me a bed to sleep and i accepted. We had a magic night : he was also hosting 2 australian girls and a polish couple. The morning after that, we discovered that 4 of us were going to the same city, Venise ! So we went to Venise together with the mexican and the 2 australian girls. Wonderful trip !

Interests

I'm passionated by irish/celtic music, funk, hip-hop and other kinds of music. I'm also fond of juggling (clubs, balls, staff and pois, golo and diabolo, contact).

For the last 3 years, I have been learning scuba diving and I'm being more and more interested in this sport. I am currently graduating my french level 3 in diving, and working on a dive boat, enabling me to dive up to 60 meters.

I also love sailing and windsurfing.
