Having spent 4 weeks of 1st 6 in Athens & I am booked to return there 27 August I will be there over a month of trip ending Dec 15,2015 when I fly to Boston for $189$from Amsterdam on wow IcelandicAirlines WowHalf of each year seeing countries farther away

ABOUT ME

2 or 3years in Catholic school after Military boarding school K age5.I Suddenly had 2 brothers and sister in the middle of the 10th grade in Va Beach.Moved with them to PR at 17,where my dad retired . Married HS sweatheart 3 years later.Separated now.She is on my good USPS health insurance & compelling reason to not divorce until one of us gets in a serious relationship.I kept my Senior Life Saving status for several years after getting it to be a volunteer guard for Alateen camp.MY Latest college course: Motion picture criticism.My Brother in law was a film critic for the 3rd biggest newspaper in Chicago 1970's(David Elliott),who inspired my love of cinema,and got me in often free. My Dad suffered heart attack in Rota Spain.I spent the 3 months allowed.All my previous travel experiences had been into Mexico from San Diego and on Carribbean cruises, with mom and sister.I am getting a late start seeing more of the world. I did see Cannes,Montpellier Nice(used to be in Italy)Paris(the cinema museum),Naples,Catana,Monreal cathedral&Mt EAtna in Sicily(snow in northern Italy 11 March)Dublin(Aerlingus

PHILOSOPHY

I Would like very much to make a difference for people like the college grad who set himself on fire and prompted a change in government in January 2011. AN IDEA WHEN i INHERIT is to combine something akin to microloans for say bicycle powered washers and even more urgent needs(An animal for milk or seeds.Youtube has a clip with teen inventor of a bicycle washing machine. Now a 2010 invention uses 90% less water in a washers substituting beads?, combine the 2 in water shortages?.I especially enjoy sharing tips I figure out with fellow travellers at homes and hostels over coffee etc.I now exchange e-mails with people I met from Brazil as well as a few others.Their off time from college is similar to Australia's I believe.If my roommate in Fl can have me away an extra week or so each year I can gradually spend less time in Fl than traveling.I was motivated by reading Henry D Thoreau and about Mahatma Ghandi to apply for Conscientous Objector status when Uncle Sam told me I did not have enough credit hours after my 1st year in college to receive a student deferment. I recommend a play "The Night Thoreau spent in jail"The lottery came and you guessed it my lucky # was never called. I Saw a blurb about a teen girl inventing a bicycle powered clothes washer.I would love to promote them. I have been vegetarian or vegan and most recently raw foodist for varying numbers of years and tea toatler like my mom with 30+ years in AA (her).In my nudist trial in San Diego, I met a co-worker at Black's beach who said " Remember now,at work I don't want to hear you say"" I did not recognize you with your clothes on." I always carry my leftovers for stray animals here in Marrakech.I picked up some useful hints from journaling books, Use red ink if angry, green if monetary etc.I was turned down for becoming an instructor of T.M.meditation because of my beard.I Enjoy live theatre but I only appeared in " A Man for all seasons" I had that same beard.My Drama Professors in San Diego were named Craig Noel and Eric Christmas. I loved photography and journalism classes.Next classes should be English taught as a 2nd language And French,using Rossetta Stone,much more hip than Berlitz, if not at College or University campus.I check a different letter in a french-English dictionary most days and highlight the french word I know English for. I am past the 30% I would have predicted. Speaking I hesitate to make guesses, so I say beginner.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I actually used my cousin Chris's couch on October 5th, 2009 in Miami Beach. He has a limo.I have used my sisters couch in Pinnellas Park overnight and pet sit .I got an invite in Palermo, but flat had no water .My 1st cs experience was with Morrocandude in Marrekech.Since arriving in Marrakech,I have had invites to go to their location, from several other surfers here visiting as well, from Poland, the U.K,France,Fes,Tangier, Rabat etc.

Interests

I now may try a free week offered by anglo@Vaughansystems.com. I take a trip to Morocco annually before my 90 day limit in Europe runs out. Dec 18 2010, I flew ryanair Sevilla to Fez for E6.20. March 17th I did fly to Paris, but a 5Euro fee was added after I gave my c.c.I Once dabbled in a scene remenicent of movie "21" My 680 math SAT combined with reading a Thorpe book on card counting "Beat the Dealer" and the rarity then of single decks in Las Vegas. I can safely say I am one of a small percentage who earned their room, board and gas. Casinos do so well because people give right back all they win and more.It takes discipline to only risk a half of what you get ahead. Honestly I won 2 of 3 $500 black-jack tournaments on Carribean cruises.Trophies were gold paint plated ship replicas.I Hope I find souvenier photo to post.This explains my passion for bridge, that and to fight early onset of Parkinson's on my memory.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am now looking forward to the 6th movie with actress in "girl with the dragon tattoo", I read a list of films in producion and she will not be in an English version 2011.Life is much simpler carrying my Compaq and only 10 kilo this trip.Discoving wifi sites,(bought satellite stick) at public parks in Cadiz libraries, ferry terminals etc.Cyber Park here in Marrekech."Stranger in a Strange land" Robert Hienlein "The Harrad experiment" Robert Rimmer "Flashman" and several sequels George Macdonald Fraser (screenwriter of 2 of last 3 Muskateer movies.)Most weeks see every film that opened that week or the previous.Have owned Cat Stevens,Beatles,& Bob Seeger CD. I Saw Meatloaf and recently saw the"Boss", Bruce Springsteen in the pit, between 1st row and stage. I Want to read Mark Twain's adventures hiking in Europe, I found and bought in Fes.The Satirical French duel description is funniest, ending with, to paraphrase .."next time I will stand in a safer place, in front of the person I am a seconding for" after his party fainted and fell on him making him the first person in years injured at such an event.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At age 7ish found my own way back to place my family was visiting in N.Y. city. I had run ahead of our group and got on Bronx ferry not Brooklyn or vice versa and it pulled out before others caught up to me. I used a 4 sided clock tower to find my way back to the right neighborhood, even hiding from police when I knew I was close to being back, because I wanted to get credit for finding my own way back, only to get spanked by the man we were visiting.I selected 6 numbers for .70, and won $1100 for a Keeno ticket, during breakfast in Las Vegas.I signed up on a waiting list for Hotel Union jobs that day and resided there for a month,then gave up on idea.With help, replaced my new V.W. Super beetle's clutch (while reading "How to keep your Volkswagon alive...for the complete idiot." Scraped a knuckle right when the author warned it could happen.Keeping in mind this is someone who added his first can of oil, to his 1st Renault, the hard way, thru the dipstick hole.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you ride a crowded bus here in Morrocco or anywhere (their local garb with no pockets, a jalaba, protected me, I know from pickpockets).The one Day I didn't, after a cser warned about it, I had 20 dh bills lifted.Use a money belt and passport necklace..Have heard of large spare bills in shoe's & or socks.Maverick's was pinned in garments.Lots of small coins in one side larger ones in the other side pocket. you can feel the difference too. Do not have hand full in range of person you are paying.Check prices in large grocery store to have an idea of what items should cost.shop around before buying.Less kicking of self when you find out you paid double what next vendor offered it for.Using economy airlines one less bag saves a significant amount.Lock baggage on trains ( bicycle chain to seat)carry only one credit card, too.Since my close call in Marrakesh I now leave small amounts with a friend or 2 in places I am returning. If I do not get back it is not too much to have been a gift. I would not feel that they would feel used as a taxi or for storage.
