I'd rather let one of my friends fill this one up for me, but oh well!.. I guess I could describe myself as a friendly, outgoing and adventurous person. I'm always up to spontaneous ideas because usually they are the most interesting ones. Oh, and I have been a scout for over 4 years already, so I love hiking, camping, sitting by a campfire and all that other fun things that you can do in nature without harming it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I'm curious! I want to meet new people, get to know them, learn more about their culture. For me, travelling is not only about seeing the other country, it is more about getting to know the locals and looking at their country from their own perspective.

I believe that everyone's opinion is as important as mine is, so I love friendly discussions!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to music according to my mood, therefore I'm one of those persons who have a lot of "oh yes, I love this song, this is my favorite one!", because during that certain moment of my life it might indeed be my favorite song of all time, even if 5 minutes earlier I would have hated that song. Yes, I know, it probably sounds weird... But hey, what can I do? It's just the way I am!

Movies have always played a big role in my life. Movies had a big influence on the way I am now, the way I look at things, the way I live... My favorite one? Hah... It's a tough one. I guess it is the same for me as with music - it really depends on my mood. At this moment, I think it is"Cloud Atlas".

I have tons of books in my "to do" list and not a lot of time to actually read them. However, I really like "The Island of the Blue Dolphins" by Scott O'Dell. For some reason, I find it more interesting than the famous Robinson Crusoe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had a chance to teach 20 younger scouts about astronomy in one of the scout camps for a whole week. It was my first time doing anything like that, where each day a lecture would take up to 3 hours. All the headaches and worries paid out in the end, when I saw one of the scouts going to his parents and telling them all about the constellations, the beginning of the universe and so on, everything that he has learned during the week because of me... That feeling was... Incredible. I hope that I will feel it again. One day. Maybe because of my own child. Maybe. Nobody knows.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can (and I will, inevitably!) share stories of my travels and experiences. I could also try to cook some traditional Lithuanian food and, obviously, wash the dishes afterwards (I usually love to experiment in the kitchen and make something new, but experiments do sometimes fail, you know...). I'm also able to play a few songs with the guitar, but I'd rather listen to somebody else playing ;)
