Overview
About Me
Finnish by roots, international by nature! I decided to jump off the rat race and decided to go traveling around the world instead! I have been on the road now for 4 months and how long I have left, only time (and bank) can tell :) These four months I have spent in Asia and from here I will continue to Central America, via Australia. I have lived abroad for years and love meeting people from different countries and cultures, it makes life so much richer. I am very outgoing and love going out to see places and meeting people, but I also enjoy chilling out with some good food, good company and good movie. It´s the small things that make life so much nicer, that´s one of the main things I´ve learned during my travels :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am Couchsurfing because I believe that staying with a local host will give you so much more than only staying in hostels with other travelers! I get to learn so much more about the place itself and find some hidden gems, learn more about the culture of that particular place and of course, get to meet amazing people and make new friends :) I never get tired of sharing travel and life stories, as you get to hear the most interesting stories that you will always remember.
Interests
Obviously traveling is my passion, that´s why I´m doing this trip in the first place :) I love music, going out and doing sports. I´m a big animal lover, I´ve had 3 dogs of my own and I absolutely adore dogs. Understanding different cultures is also very interesting, it makes me see the world from a totally different perspective and that is very rewarding.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved to Brazil the first time at the age of 16 and did not know a word of Portuguese. A year later when I returned to Finland I was fluent and still am.
Another thing I am proud of is that I went to a 4-day meditation retreat in Northern Thailand, lived there with the monks and spent 6 hours of my day meditation and being quiet. Which really, was a difficult task for me as I do like to talk, a lot :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I´m interested in learning from the culture and way of life of the place where I´m staying at!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share multiple travel stories and experiences from living in different countries and how they have changed me as a person and changed my point of view of life :)
