About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore, see, grow!

ABOUT ME

26 year-old guy in love with languages and foreign cultures, I like meeting new, interesting people from anywhere around the world & having smart discussions.

PHILOSOPHY

Bene Gesserit, Karma, Mind over body.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Usually I'm quite an introverted person, but especially when I am travelling or meeting genuine & interesting people, I bond quickly and have a great time overall.
This is why I'm trying to get to know locals from the places I visit, I'm really interested in hearing different opinions and broadening my horizons through interacting like this.
So of course, I think couchsurfing is providing people with this wonderful opportunity of exploring more the social aspect while travelling.

Interests

Among others, Foreign Languages, Boardgames, Cultural Dialogue, Cooking, Cats, Politics, anything geeky.

Music, Movies, and Books

Florence and the Machine, Lana del Rey, Da Endorphine, Empire of the Sun, Julien Doré, Hadag Nachash, Natan Goshen, Glass Animals. (mainly alternative & pop)

Amelie, Midnight in Paris, Les amours imaginaires, I Origins, Little Ashes, Little Britain, Battlestar Galactica, any non-American lgbt movie.

Dune Series (pretty much replaced the Bible for me :P ), A Song of Fire and Ice, The Silmarillion, historical and historical fantasy novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Paragliding in Pokhara, Nepal; I like exploring cities and sites by foot usually, nothing too exhausting while travelling, but doing this in a breathtaking place was pretty much the most awesome thing I've done.

Almost drowning in the Mediterranean Sea; not that fun, but at least I got an interesting story to tell and an equally vivid memory of Tunisia. No hard feelings though.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love a fellow person really interested in foreign cultures and languages as I could go on for hours about linguistics and current international events, among other stuff.
Still, I am very open to any type of discussions, especially like-minded people :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

If there's anything I would have in common with a person in terms of interests or hobbies, I can pretty much guarantee a good time. I'm laid back, genuinely friendly and polite, & open-minded; I also like to cook, so besides my company I can also take the challenge and prepare a pretty damn good dinner if a host is up for it.
I like exploring cities from morning 'till evening, so the host would have a reasonable amount of time without me at their place if they're not accompanying me.

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Nepal, Netherlands, Palestine, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

Japan, Romania
