Figuring out what to do with myself
ABOUT ME
I'm a recent law school grad going to New Orleans for a one-year fellowship with the Louisiana Justice Institute. Apart from being excited about the work that I'll get to do, I'm super excited about getting to spend a whole year in NOLA - I was BLOWN AWAY by the awesome food, music, and people when I visited last winter, and can't wait to get back there at the end of August.
Part of the reason I'm looking for a couch is because I'm looking for a place to stay for a couple days while searching for housing. More than that, though, I thought it'd be a great way to meet cool 'locals' and make some friends. After I've settled down, I definitely want to host other people to come see the city.
PHILOSOPHY
One should always try their utmost to understand the world and the people around them. New experiences provide us with a chance to grow - even though sometimes they hurt.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ten weeks living in a rural village in Sierra Leone was probably one of the most amazing things I've ever done. It was really a unique experience.

I was in a street dance group when I was studying in Japan, and would be more than happy to give lessons. I'm also happy to give lessons on English, Japanese, Mandarin, and martial arts.
