About Me

Hello, I'm 21 years old trekker and a programmer. I love to reach to the far of Himalayas. I grew up and study in India, but here in Europe this year , so trying my best to travel as much as I can.
I love Buddhist, Tibetan and Hindu culture and love to discuss and know about them , that's what attracts me to Himalayas from time to time.

Besides that, I'm a social person, fun to party with, indulge in technical discussions and I dance a lot(maybe because of the Indian blood in me :P )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well I have been on couchsurfing twice and had great experience. I lived pretty close to Himalayas and they don't do couchsurfing in mountains.
Though after moving to Lille, I go regularly in the CS meetings here. I've made awesome friends here, have planned some adventurous trips with them.

AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL - I would love to clear doubts of people about traveling to India. I've met many friends in Europe who want to visit India but they say they have heard a lot of bad stories about there. One thing I want to say - IT'S ALL FALSE. India is amazing place and I welcome everyone to this mixture of culture, life, language and beauty . I'll recommend everyone to goto Himalayas atleast once in life.

Interests

Travelling - This won't be in my list if I was asked the same 4 years back. Moving to nice nearby Himalays, Roorkee, Haridwar made me realize what I was missing from my life.

Trekking - Thanks to Himalayas. Been searching for a nice 2 day trek nearby northern France areas.

Programming - Yeah, beside the fact that I'm a mechanical undergrad, I love coding.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekked in Lahaul valley in Himalayas at 4800 meters wearing just shorts and shirt.

Jumped from moving train in night just to change coaches and then entered again in moving train.

I mentor the students of Super 30 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_30) and being an alumnus from there, always try to help them.

Share - Travel Stories, I might bring some spices and cook Indian food for you if you like(but I'm not too good in cooking :P) !! I am planning to have a 2 month long Himalayan journey in 2016, maybe I can get to find my travel partner doing couchsurfing.
