About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To go boldly. And to come back home, timidly.
ABOUT ME
Professional student. I've gotten so good at being a student that now I teach others how to be a student!
But it gives me summers off, so I don't complain. Except when I teach summers, but I still don't complain.
I don't get out much, so I like to take advantage of the occasion of having visitors and show off Boise and the area, if I am available and have time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to live simply. The less I have, the easier it is to move. I've got a floor, a couch, and a mattress. The mattress was left for me, the couch given to me by a friend, and the floor came with the apartment. You're welcome to any of them. (I sleep on the floor half the time, anyway.)
I'm right across the street from Boise State University, and a short walk from downtown Boise.
Interests
I enjoy going places and learning new things. For the near future, my travels will probably be confined to the US and Canada, but this is still a big place filled with many wonderful people and things to see.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first visit to Idaho involved me camping in the Sawtooths in late October. Cold, cold, cold, but the morning views of misty lakes and crisp mountains captured me, and brought me back here to live.
I tend to be more of a desert person, though. My favorite national parks I've been to have been deserts--Joshua Tree, Badlands (oh, so gorgeous at sunset), and Big Bend. I spent several years teaching in northeastern Arizona and fell in love with the Colorado plateau area.
