About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"Live as if your were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." - Gandhi

ABOUT ME

Currently working at a marketing strategy firm in the Chicagoland area. I've been involved with CouchSurfing for a number of years now and have had nothing but amazing experiences. I LOVE traveling and getting to know people on a deeper, more meaningful basis and CouchSurfing is perfect for that! I have a wide variety of hobbies, some of which include snowboarding, cooking, hiking and football (soccer)!

PHILOSOPHY

Stop hoping. Start believing. Be interesting. Make your life incredible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Give and take! While I have had more surfing than hosting experiences, I'm really trying to host as many surfers as possible and gain some more experience with CouchSurfing. I'm more than happy to host if anyone would like to stay!

Check out the interview a friend and I did on CouchSurfing for our local newspaper! (Deutsch)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of my CouchSurfing experiences have taken place in Germany where I lived for some time. I've hosted several people and have surfed with several others, many of which have become great friends of mine. CouchSurfing is such a wonderful community and I have had nothing but positive experiences since the start!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Action, Documentaries, Foreign Films, and the occasional Romantic Comedy

Music: I'll listed to just about anything, and I'm always open to new suggestions!

Books: Never Eat Alone, Les Miserables, The Art of Non-Conformity, Richard Branson, Seth Godin

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been to 42/50 states in the USA, along with the countries listed below. Seen the beautiful coast of Slovenia, gone hiking in the Alps in Southern Bavaria. Went zip lining in a forest in Northern Germany, snowboarding in Colorado, climbed some of the tallest mountains in the Rockies, traversed the Grand Canyon, and much more!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Of course I'd be more than happy to teach someone English and practice with them if they'd like to do so! I would also be willing to give guitar lessons or teach someone how to snowboard if they'd be interested!

Learn: I'm constantly trying to improve on my languages and speaking with a native speaker is the fastest way to learn. I'm the kind of person that CRAVES knowledge and seeks out every opportunity to learn from people.

Share: I'd be more than happy to show anyone around downtown Chicago (I know of all the cool spots even most Chicagoans don't know about. Also, stories! Tell me awesome stories about your life and I'll be sure to return the favor ;)
