Music, Movies, and Books
We both enjoy heavy metal (there are too many bands from different subgenres to list the) and rock, foremost older rock ranging from Jimmy Hendrix up to Pink Floyd. We also like some jazz and classical music. Whereby we do not care much for pop, rap and electronic music with some exceptions, however converting with good company (interesting people and friends) and enjoying a nice beverage, makes even the most annoying, 1000 times, repeated radio song seem bearable :)
Because of the extensive studying and working there was not much time for reading in the last years, however we enjoy the works from: R.R. Martin, Pratchett, some H. P. Lovecraft novels, Poe and several classical authors.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We have seen one of the last space shuttle lift-offs at Cape Canaveral. We partied in New Orleans. We gambled in Las Vegas. We rode the tallest roller coaster in Europe.
Teach, Learn, Share
We like to tell people as much as possible about Slovenia, which is beautiful, but unfortunately not well known in the world (especially outside of Europe). We enjoy learning various things, especially about: the ever day life in other countries, new cultures, local customs, local alcoholic beverages and local food. Tomaz also likes to share the wine that his family makes. If we can accommodate you on our couch, be sure to notify us a couple of weeks before, so Tomaz can get a couple of liters of the wine for you to “try”.
