About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world and meet new people.

ABOUT ME

I'm a transplant from the east coast (New Jersey) which I sometimes miss terribly. It's my goal to gather enough east coasters and like minded people here in Seattle to make this place what it should be. Currently, I'm volunteering at the Mercury, a private goth/industrial club, as both Concierge and Promotions Manager. I also promote and DJ a night called Fifth Column, which is currently at the Mercury, as well as the random event here & there. I've also been known to show up at the turntables on occasion at some guest spots around Seattle. I spend my off time collecting really bizarre movies and cooking for large groups of people

PHILOSOPHY

When I have that completely figured out I will elaborate more. For now, all I've got is live life and enjoy it! And don't be a jackass.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just got here to CS, but I've lived in Seattle for 17 years, and I'd be glad to show folks around where I live (and put some one up for a bit if I don't already have someone on my couch). :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first time in Europe, I couchsurfed with awesome people who were friends of a friend in Norway and Denmark for about a month. This was about, well, it was a very long time ago, but it got me hooked on this way of traveling! It's so much easier to get the culture of a place when you can actually spend time with people who live there. Now, I am always happy to put someone up and perhaps show them around my home town as well!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:I have an enormous movie collection that's mostly horror, suspense and sci fi.

Music:I am a huge 80's music dork. Really, ask anybody who knows me-80's music actually follows me. I LOVE MUSIC. I regularly listen to Industrial, EBM, Synthpop,Trance and Electro, but name a genre and I can probably give you a few of my favorite songs from it.

Books: historical accounts, travel books, language books, Brave New World, 1984, Animal Farm, The unabridged Grimm's Fairytales, Webster's dictionary, The Tao of Pooh, The Te of Piglet, The Song Called Youth trilogy, The Sword of Truth Series, Shakespeare, classic Stephen King, John Shirley, anything by Clive Barker, Edgar Allan Poe and too many other things to list here. Let's just say I read a lot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Iceland.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been cooking since I was 7 years old. I love showing other people how to prepare food as well as learning stuff from other cooks.

I love languages! I want to speak at least 6 passably by the time I leave this planet. Right now, I've got French and Spanish under my belt and am looking at picking up Italian. I haven't figured out where to go from there.

Countries I’ve Visited

Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Canada, Denmark, Iceland, Jamaica, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, Norway, Puerto Rico, Saint Lucia, Sweden, United States, Virgin Islands, U.S.

Countries I’ve Lived In
