ABOUT ME

I am a 23 year law student who graduated with honors in philosophy from CU Boulder in May 2010 (and with another degree in Japanese).

I have a kind of ironic sense of humor, I like honesty, directness, and people who are relaxed. I don't like panic and "freaking out," if you will. Philosophy is something I am interested in and with which I identify strongly, but I like to think of myself as not being a pretentious philosophy kid. I just moved to Portland and would love to meet people here.

I am constantly learning and would like to continue that. I have met some amazing people and experienced a lot of different perspectives on life, and I try to take them to heart. Right now I am working on feeling, expressing, and dealing with emotions, being actually honest and authentic with people, and working on my internal and external state (mental and physical health).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted some people and surfed with some people. It's been great so far.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was on vacation in San Francisco with a good friend of mine who is quite experienced with couch surfing, we went homeless style, exploring the city and meeting new people in the bay area every night. We met some really cool, nice people who let us crash their floors and couches in that crowded, tightly spaced area. That experience got me interested in continuing this lifestyle a bit longer.

Also hosted a couple of people when I lived in Denver.

Interests

Philosophy, freehand glowsticking, dancing, poi, sometimes games, drinking, smoking, being healthy and unhealthy, talking about feelings, talking about the roots of behaviors, going for walks and hikes, playing with acrylic spheres, drinking tea, and reading.
