About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm planning a month-long solo trip in Europe this July, so I'm looking to meet local people and make new connections while I'm traveling. I'm super flexible in where I go and stay, and for how long, so I'm looking to find people who would be interested in hosting me for any duration. Ideally, I'm looking to spend time in Amsterdam, Italy, and Greece.

ABOUT ME

Hi there!

I currently live in Brooklyn, NY and am looking to make some great memories with new, interesting people in cool places when I'm away from the city traveling. I'm a pretty simple, straightforward, and easy to get along with person. I love sharing and listening to other people's stories and making some new ones. I work in clinical psychology - right now I work full-time in research, but I will be starting a PhD program in the fall. I'm super passionate about the work that I do, which focuses on stigma-related violence and LGBTQ+ mental health.

PHILOSOPHY

I love life. I'm all about discovery - new things excite me, different opinions challenge me, great memories complete me. That's what makes me happy and that's what I look for.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've done some brief couchsurfing in France and informally in the US (both staying and hosting). I'm planning a month-long trip to Europe this summer and would love to meet new people through couchsurfing. Always happy to return the favor by offering a convenient couch in New York City.

Interests

I like being outside, dancing (the wacky stuff with your friends and the art you perform on a stage), eating, talking, sharing, wandering, discovering, discussing, reading fantastic books, meeting new people, attending drag shows, and primarily having a stellar time enjoying wherever I'm at.

Music, Movies, and Books

Yes, yes, and yes. I'm really into the classics as far as novels go, whether in French or in English. I probably haven't seen as many movies as a normal cultured person should, but I certainly enjoy watching them. Some favorites include American History X, Mother!, 12 Years a Slave, and The Mummy (don't judge). I listen to practically any type of music and will probably like it (except country).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hiked 150 miles over 10 days in Portugal and Spain doing the Camino de Santiago de Compostela.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can read tarot cards, which I find super fascinating as a method of meditation and outside perspective on your situation. I'm a researcher, so I love talking about problems in society and ways we can potentially fix them.
