About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to stumble through the world while laughing with amazing people along the way.
ABOUT ME
i love to laugh. easy going. spontaneous. funny. i'm pretty chill. deep. love to go out but i love to just have time alone, too. it's like i need to recharge my batteries (alone time) and you and everyone else will be fooled that i'm an extrovert! but chilled quality time with food or drink is always preferred style of hanging out.
i love experiencing new places, people, foods-- sites, sounds, etc. i love local culture. i love color, textures, fashion, art, films, families, and trying/experiencing new cultures and places. when i travel, i like to get a sense of what it's like to live there. i'm a traveler, not a tourist.
one of my favorite things to do is feast at a giant table with loads of food, people and wine. :)
oh and i'm a native texan... 2nd gen korean american. i'm conversationally fluent in korean, but working on getting that better every day!
i'm married to a wonderful, big-hearted korean man who loves to bake! we love host people around a table and travel the world together.
PHILOSOPHY
laughter is the best medicine!
and
I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
interactive... very interactive- i love the groups.
overall- i heart CS!! i had the best experience this summer in Korea and will do it for years to come!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
i surfed in seoul, south korea this summer and ended up meeting the most amazing people who are now friends! the group discussion boards gave lots of great advice and group meets in cities.
i, also, met up with a CS friend and surfed in San Fran. I've been able to correspond with and meet with those coming through kansas city. CS rocks!!
but before official CS-dom, I've certainly surfed and hosted through friends of friends while traveling through Europe. it was awesome. I've also hosted quite a few people through word of mouth, too. hospitality is a big deal for me. only, right now- the house is a bit too full at the moment to host. :( hopefully that will change, soon!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
ohhhhhh... DEFINITELY the cliffs on orkney island near stromness. it was where the north sea and the atlantic crash together. it was a GORGEOUS day-- could hardly hear myself screaming (for joy) bc the wind and surf was so loud! i danced on the flagstone cliffs and drank it in. it was the most beautiful and exhilarating place i've been to in my life!
