Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Milder music, Tom Petty and such; Mozart, Beethoven; 80s music (yes I said it - none of us is perfect). "Amelie" and "Crocodile Dundee" are awesome films, "Immortal Beloved" got me hooked on Beethoven. Oscar Luts' "Kevade" and "Viimne reliikvia" show a lot about Estonian history, mindset, and ways. Books: 1984, Brave New World, Lord of the Flies, John Steinbeck.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Arranged an internship in Australia when it seemed all hope was lost. This inovlved purchasing the airline ticket, moving out of my apartment, driving 15 hours, packing - all to make the flight within 48 hours. Where there is a will there is a way!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Open-mindedness. This is an important concept in many aspects of life - ranging from Science to Society. Travel is always a learning process, as is going to a lecture by someone with a different scientific or political perspective than your own. At the end of the day, the best philosophy is to listen to what people say, their ideas, then think it through for yourself if it is logical and makes sense for you. Listening to what someone says does not mean you necessarily need to agree or adopt their thinking - but it is important to be open to the possibility!
