My wife have spent most of our lives chasing kids and now are ready to meet new people, travel to new places and experience new experiences

ABOUT ME

My wife and I moved to the Greenville, SC area about a year and a half ago. I am currently in the construction business working as a superintendent. Robyn works in a secretarial position downtown Greenville. Both of us are somewhat creative. I build a rustic furniture while my wife bakes, jewlery, and other crafts. We enjoy gardening, golf, and traveling. Have not participated in CS as of yet but plan on it as we get more involved. Our kids, four of them, are all grown and pretty much on their own. So, time to get to know people from all over the world.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to think of life as a journey full of opportunities to experience new and different things, food, and people. My goal is to grab some of these opportunities and experience them whether from a person or visiting a new place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My wife and I have room for a couple or a family. Can give directions to interesting places but may not be able to go along. Would also like to have the opportunity to share someone elses facilities. We have rooms availbabe. If you are on your way to Upstate South Carolina and need a place to stay, please call.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unfortunately we have not participated like I had envisioned. We have hosted and had a great experience but have missed out on surfers due to being on a trip ourselves. Please call or write, if we are around, you are welcome.

Interests

Teaching, sports, outdoor activities, reading, movies, social drink, coffee, travel, the ocean, and just about everything you can imagine. Very few things I am not interested in learning about.

Movies with John Wayne, Errol Flynn, Clint Eastwood. Like the Lion King, Harry Potter series, Star Trek, Hook, The Patriot, The Gladiator to name a few.
Books by Steven King, Louis Lamor, physics, chemistry, and just about anything that is interesting or inspirational.

Went back to school at the age of 38 and became a teacher.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are interested in building your own rustic furniture, I would enjoy showing you how to do it. Would like to hunt javalena and fish in Canada or Alaska. I would also like to learn how to surf. Open to new experiences. Want to travel to Ireland, Scottland, Iceland, and Nova Scotia. Any knowledge I have is yours. We have built several log homes so if that is an interest to you I may be able to help with some ideas.
