About Me
Current mission: Bits of Europe I haven't seen yet. Then maybe Russia or the Americas.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've had interesting and generally positive couchsurfing experiences in the US, Cambodia, Spain, Switzerland, and France, and hosted folks from all over the place. It's a fantastic way to get around and get under the skin of a city or a country.
Interests
Cartooning, writing, hiking, guitar, and epic, unplanned, underfunded adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books
Film: limited doses of arty/political films...and a steady diet of action trash, HBO, and black comedy.
Currently listening: Roots Manuva, new DJ Shadow, The Bloody Beetroots
Always listening: Rage Against The Machine, Radiohead, Run the Jewels, Green Day
Books: History, historical lit, spy novels, politics, 1920s-1950s adventure novels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Helicopter filming over the Burrup Peninsula in north-western Australia, as part of a campaign to gain World Heritage listing for this incredible natural wonder and Indigenous cultural site.
40 minutes of seat-of-the-pants aerial photography with zero notice and a shitty harness. The pilot showed me his favorite surf break at 40ft ASL.
It was in my home state, I was at work, and it was the best!
