ABOUT ME

I'm ISAKA from Japan. I am currently living and working in Jordan.

Since I travelled to the Levant area in 2010, my life somehow got stuck in the middle east.
After many things happened, I ended up working in Jerusalem for a solar panel installing project in Gaza and after the completion of the project I moved to Amman in 2018, and now I am working for a project to help Syrian refugees in Jordan.

I used to live in Australia for a year so my English should be good enough to communicate with you.
I also lived in Kibbutz for 6 months and studied Hebrew there so can speak and understand a little Hebrew.
I am trying to study Arabic, but I cannot see much progress for now.

I hosted many guests through CF when I was in Japan, but now it's stopped since I moved to Jordan.
But, If you are willing to stay and meet with somebody from Japan in Jordan, I will be happy to offer you a shelter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a quiet and shy person who tend to be a wallflower.
Because of my asian background, I have met many people who stereotyped me as an 'exotic mysterious Asian guy', and in this sense, learning and experiencing the world is for sure not always pleasant and comforting experience. I sometimes even regret that I went outside Japan and found out the other side of the human society, because I guess my life would be much ’'easier' if I did not know what is going on outside Japan and get inspired by the world.
However, I am still here using CF because learning new things and knowing how I react to it is always giving me a new insight about where I live and skill to survive, and it makes the life interesting enough to live.
