About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Movin' down the streams of my lifetime...Coursing through my senses, each prevailing...Floatin' through the space of my design

ABOUT ME

I am a son, a brother, an uncle and an optimizer.

I'm extremely open-minded to everyone and am very accepting of everyone.

I let people make their own impression of who they are on me.

I tend to be animated and happy a large part of every single day.

I like to cook/eat! :D HMMM! (I don't claim to be a good cook though) ;) So really, I like to eat.

There's nothing better than watching an early morning sunrise or a late summer's sunset.

As cliché as it sounds, I want world peace.

I love learning about the most critical element observed since the formation of this earth--the Human Element.

I'm easy going and very easy to get along with.

I smile a lot!! (literally until my face hurts) :D

I take life one step at a time and live in the moment; the future comes inevitably--it'll do it's thing, right?

I'm gay, but I am human first.

I REALLY REALLY want to go to outer space!

Very passionate about people. (i.e. listening/talking to them and learning from them)

Nature is my religion. And yes, I have hugged a tree before (literally) =]

I like to live a fairly simple life where I don't need many luxury items beyond an education, friends, love, and travels from time-to-time.

Bottom line...I'm fun, (well, I will leave that up to you to decide--haha) caring, honest and a genuine person. =)

PHILOSOPHY

1. They day I stop learning is the day I die
2. Treat others as you'd like to be treated
3. Love yourself as much as you love others

"If you are irritated by every rub, how will you ever be polished?" - Rumi

"Life actually is amazing. This cheesy bit of knowledge has just most recently occurred to me. Life's too short to spend not living ya know? We get so caught up in what it is that makes us happy and worrying about making this short existence on earth pleasurable that the most important things can get overlooked. And even then, no matter how important or whatever accomplishments you do manage to achieve in this lifetime, eventually (~a billion years) the sun is going to heat up to the point where our Earth will be inhabitable (think boiling oceans). Sometimes I find myself whispering under my breath 'Act now because the sun is (eventually) going to make everything insignificant anyways' (which btw, i realize how nerdy that is). Nothing matters but the now and I intend to make the most of it."--a random guy I met

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Making a profile on here I think greatly shows my desire to create a community/networking system across the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most graciously on their behalf, I have been hosted several times and I hope to host people soon! I had nothing but amazing(ness) come from each surf--I feel very lucky to have met such wonderful people.

Interests

I have too many interests to list them all, but to give a non-exhaustive list:

---
Sports/Rec: Tennis (I play at about a 4.0-4.5 level), Swimming/Diving, Gymnastics/tumbling on trampolines, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, bungee jumping, sky diving (next on my list!), snorkeling

---
Arts: dance, musical theatre, coloring in coloring books (prefer from 0-3 year old books...they get too technical beyond that)
---

Scholastic/Academia: I have been in an academic setting non-stop for 2 decades. Started attending 'higher education' when I was quite young, where I am currently finishing my 9th year at such an institution. Best of all, the most important things I have learned about life have come from those whom haven't been afforded the luxury of an education. Keepin' it real.
---
Music. I need music.
---
Coffee. Coffee shops are my scene.
---
Food. Simply put, I can't get enough of it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing that I have witnessed thus far was someone dying and then being brought back to life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to know how it is that people came to be who they are today. I want to know HOW each and every single person on this earth (very impossible I recognize) has come to be the way that they are: how they think, how they act, how they feel all based upon their reality of life. From there, splice my reality with their reality and see what forms. I think it's amazing how 2 people who were brought up in two entirely different parts of the world with different culture/religion/language barriers/ethics can be so similar and yet so different at the same time. (Hope that makes sense 'cuz I can ramble a lot!)
