About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel the world and enjoy life

ABOUT ME

I'm a laid back person who tends to go with the flow and whatever sounds fun at the time. I'm into sports, history, politics, and making obscure pop culture references that are often funny to no one but myself. I tend to come off a little introverted at times (mostly because I am). However, provided you're not boring (not that there is anything wrong with that) I tend to open up not before too long.

I enjoy few things more than sitting around drinking a few beverages with some friends (new or otherwise) and just talking and joking about whatever the conversation takes us.

I haven't done as much traveling as I would like, but still do some lite traveling when I can, and am always game for the random spur of the moment weekend road trip.

"Fun fact": I own a minority share of a professional sports franchise. (Not as glamorous as you might think.)(Also, I like to drop "fun facts" in conversations, however I don't use air quotes when making them in live conversations.)

I have a penchant for the comma, and you will never separate my love for her. So, potential future hosts, please don't hate my lack of grammar.

PHILOSOPHY

Do it today, because tomorrow never comes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Attend CS events, entertain travelers in the area when I can since I can't currently host.

I try to put on a monthly pint nite for all local or traveling surfers in the area to get together for good brews, and great conversations.

I also try and run the Indy CS Book Club, but my success rate on that last one is not too high.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't really hosted many surfers yet, and my current living situation doesn't allow for it either, but I have been fortunate enough to show travelers to my area around. I also have been hosted at a number of different locations and was more than impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of those who hosted me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: All kinds of genres; indie, action, mostly comedy though. Some of my favorites are: Amilie, Monty Python and Quest for the Holy Grail, Finding Forrestor, and Major League

Music - basically everything except Country and Rap. I also like a lot of ethnic music. Favourite bands include: Decemberists, Alkaline Trio, Flogging Molly, Gate, Relient K, Goldfinger, and Weird Al among others.

Books: I read a lot of biographies and historical fiction, but am willing to read most anything that keeps my attention and interest. I've been know to actively read 3 books at a time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled Europe for a month after college and among other things, I was able to see Syttende mai (Norwegian Constitution Day) in Oslo, which was simply an amazing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

The American political system thrives and depends on the two major parties constant bickering and degrading of the other, but not yet letting the other completely fail.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Norway, Poland, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
