ABOUT ME

As a child I grew up travelling around the entire world with my family, moving from the UK to Asia when I was 7 years old. Since then I have lived in Indonesia, Singapore and South Korea. As an international student, I grew up surrounded by cultures from all over the world.

For holidays I traveled all over the world with my family - from Mauritius to Japan, New Zealand to Guam. I've always loved travelling, but since I started traveling to a few places on my own or with a friend, my interest in travelling has reached the point where I could say it is my first love.

I just spent 6 months studying French in Paris, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of living in a vibrant, cosmopolitan city! Traveling around Europe every weekend was an added plus :)

Music: Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, FKA Twigs, Blawan, Maya Jane Coles, SBTRKT, The Mars Volta, Biffy Clyro, Sigur Ros, Massive Attack, Radiohead... to name but a few

Movies: I adore Studio Ghibli's movies, Pulp Fiction, Napoleon Dynamite, The Prestige, Trainspotting, Velvet Goldmine.

Books: pretty much all of Haruki Murakami's works, Patrick Suskind's Perfume, J.R.R. Toklein's Lord of the Rings trilogy, George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done too many amazing things. Here are a few...
Swam outdoors in the mountains while it was snowing in Switzerland.
Watched The Nutcracker at the Vienna State Opera for €3.
Visited Auschwitz, felt chills and shed tears.
Spent 4 nights on a liveaboard and scuba dived with six manta rays in Thailand.

I can teach you a some words in the few languages that I know, or I can tell you all about life in Singapore. I'd also be happy to exchange travel stories!

I'm a fashion student so I can also do my best to help you with broken seams or general fashion advice (PSA: I'm studying fashion business so I'm not a fashion designer!)

What I Can Share with Hosts

a cup of tea, funny stories, odd stories, and (if it's possible) food/drink/souvenirs from a foreign land :)
