ABOUT ME

We are a married couple, one Kiwi and one Kiwi-Serb.
Since getting together we have lived in Dunedin and Christchurch, and we have just spent an amazing year living on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand - beautiful and isolated and unique.
We are just moved back to Christchurch, and are excited about seeing the city grow after the earthquakes.
We would describe ourselves as ...... normal? We are fond of a bit of everything in moderation - hiking, cycling, movies, books, games ..... And short. We are both short.
We also have a naughty little puppy who wants to meet you.

We are just getting back into the hosting game, looking forward to meeting some new surfers at our new place in Christchurch!

On our recent travels to USA we were lucky enough to surf with some wonderful people, hope to repay the favour.

Interests

Love reading, anything and everything. Currently Ogi is reading a book about dictionaries (among other things), Helen is reading a fantasy book (Robin Hobb).
We love exploring around our local area, getting out there going hiking or biking.
Love movies, and getting out TV series and watching them all the way through in one go. Current fix: Parks and Recreation.
Both of us play football (soccer), love watching Barca play, Ogi likes Arsenal but we will forgive him for this.
We just got a puppy, so be prepared for craziness!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Everything. Except jazz. Actually some jazz isn't too bad.
Movies - Helen liked the movie 'The Prestige' by Christopher Nolan. Ogi did not. Both recently enjoyed Moonrise Kingdom, Submarine, and Midnight in Paris... We watch a lotta movies
Books - The Brothers Karamazov, The Great Gatsby, Great Expectations, Jo Nesbo page turners, anything by Kurt Vonnegut/Julian Barnes/the list goes on...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm... well we both just did the Milford Track in Fiordland which was stunning. During the tramp we climbed behind a massive waterfall, which gave Helen an excuse to re-enact her favourite scene from Last of the Mohicans. Nice.
