About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Doing an Internship at Max Planck Society Headquarter, section communication and marketing

ABOUT ME

I would say I'm an open minded, spontaneous, friendly and easy-going guy. In the end I think I'm in need of harmony, I don't like disputes and people who always try to create some disharmonism. Wherever I went, I never had problems to make friends. My friends like me because I'm a funny person and there's definitely no chance of boredom as long as I'm around.
I know it always sounds suspicious when people just tell positive things about themselves but I really don't know what negative aspects I could talk about. Maybe I'm a bit lazy now and then...

However, I like beer (As a born bavarian guy I can justifiably claim myself as a beer expert), music (I play drums) and sports, especially football (of course the european one (I just hate the word soccer)) and basketball. Therefore I'm a fan of Bayern Munich and the Dallas Mavs, the latter primarily due to the German Wunderkind aka Dunkingschnitzel aka DN41 aka Dirk Werner Nowitzki! Because of that, I like to stay awake the whole night and watching NBA games.

Oh and I just realized I like to use complicated, multi-clause sentences with thousands of brackets :)

PHILOSOPHY

My motto is a bavarian philosophy: "Scheiß da nix dann feid da nix"
It means something like "You will have a great time in life if you don't take things too seriously"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard about couchsurfing from my best friend who made a road trip through the USA and he was fascinated by couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During my semester abroad in the US I surfed so many times and whereever I've been I just met nice and friendly people who showed me nothing than hospitality. The craziest experience was definitely at Key West, Florida, where I stayed with a guy who lived on a boat!

During my time in Sweden, I had a convenient place so I felt it's time to give something back, thus I hosted a few people.

Interests

basketball, football (not american!), football (american!), drums, deep conversations about the sense of life, going to festivals, biking, hiking, running, any kind of interesting museums,..

Music, Movies, and Books

Generally there's no music I definitely don't like.
I like punkrock like Blink182, Sum41, Greenday, Reel Big Fish,..I like some Hiphop, for example Eminem or german Rappers like Prinz Pi or Dendemann. I also like metal, for example System of a Down. However, I can enjoy listen to smoothly music like Katie Melua.
Finally, sometimes there's nothing better than some classic music, one of my favorites are the Peer Gynt Suites 1&2 by Edvard Grieg.
Anyway, my favorite song, band or genre changes every two days.

Regarding movies, I like action movies with Jason Statham or Jackie Chan, funny and kind of stupid movies,...

I like reading humorous and amusing books, for example books from Nick Hornby

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After finishing my A levels, I made a roadtrip with my best pal and another good friend, we went to france and spain and just had such a great time, it was a pure feeling of freedom and that was one of the best feelings I ever had.

Two years ago I went with my girlfriend to morocco. Sleeping in the desert under thousands of stars was pretty impressive.

During my semester abroad in the US I traveled almost every weekend and could basically write a whole book with crazy stories. However, a biketour with some aligators lying just one feet away, watching a live NBA game of the Dallas Mavericks, sleeping on a boat in Key West, watching literally millions of bats flying out of a bridge in Austin or admiring the christmas tree in front of the Rockefeller Center in NYC were definitely some of the absolute highlights.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you German language, culture or history. In all modesty, I claim myself as an expert in European Soccer and NBA Basketball, so if you're interested in these things I'm sure we will have some great discussions.

Since I just arrived in Munich couple weeks ago, I don't know much about the city yet. So let's just explore it together!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Everything I can! I don't want to be any burden, instead I like to contribute by cleaning after, filling up the fridge or bringing some beers. And of course I would love to share any kind of stories of my life.
Besides, anybody who ever hosted me will have a lifetime guarantee of being hosted by me whenever it's possible!
