Overview
About Me
I'm an open minded person, that loves to learn from different cultures and tries to break things down to the person. People think, look and learn different but most people I've met proof to be keen to try to understand each other on every matter, once you know how to get through to them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've lived in many places and in some of them beds are hard to come by, even for money. Giving and taking seems the best way to exchange experiences and do something for one another. Also, staying with somebody is a lot more comfortable if you want to actually meet people, and not only stand alone within a crowd.
Interests
I really love my profession, linguistics. That is quite nerdy, but I also enjoy hearing and playing music. In terms of time spent on something, I've been practising Judo eversince I was 6 so that makes quite a bit of my life too. Learning new languages is one of my hobbies, with the somewhat bizzare aim to missleading people on my nationality, but I use that as a joke.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite musician is Bach, although I've learned to enjoy popmusic in the last couple of years. When it comes to movies I'm afraid that is the form of art I less connect with, and the best litterature for me is French and German 18th and 19th century.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've translated technical terms on linguistics into a Guatemalan indigenous language, in order to have them study their native language withouth any need of knowing Spanish, and made a book of that little dictionary.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hosts might meet a great deal of unnecessary (but funny) knowlegde, and I am a very domestic, uncomplicated person. I love to spoil people, which I claim to do with my good cooking.
