About Me

I am an outgoing person that loves to talk about culture, politics, economics, and almost every other topic. In a sense, I am a philosopher. In general, I have a high level of curiosity and I am an honest and friendly person.
Moreover, I would describe myself as very open-minded.
I like doing sports such as volleyball, swimming, running, biking, and hiking.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to get in touch with a lot of different and interesting people. Through couch surfing I can learn a lot about different cultures and also maybe get valuable personal experiences for life.

Interests

I am interested in almost everything. How does capitalism work? How can we make life better for the poorest? Where is a nice place to visit and to get good food?

Music, Movies, and Books

I like listening to almost every kind of music. I prefer acoustic and piano music music, but also enjoy listening to house, techno, and rock. Some of my favorite artists are Bakkushan, Jimmy Eat World, Foo Fighters, Boyce Avenue, and Newton Faulkner.
My favorite movie is "Shutter Island", and I generally like movies that have an interesting and unexpected plottwist. "Birdman" is another great movie I really like. If you like a movie about how to enjoy life, I can totally recommend the movie "About time". Although not a blockbuster, it talks about seizing the day in a really gentle way.
I enjoy reading all kinds of books. Yet, I mainly read books with some sort of philosophical or scientific content, books that make me think and that teach me something. For example, I read a book about quantum physics which was really interesting. Right now, I read the bible to understand the principles of christianity a bit better.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done a spontaneous biketrip around the lake constance with a good friend of mine. It doesn't sound that amazing, but it was a valuable experience for me in my life. As we haven't planned anything, we could just seize the day ... well, at some days, we were completely stressed out because we were biking til it got dark as we couldn't find free camping sites, but it was a funny trip!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am not sure what I shall write here, but I will figure it out and edit! Promised! =)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking (hopefully good) food, my German culture, ideas about alternatives to the capitalism we have today, contepts about minimalism, music and dancing(!), talks about life (I am a good listener and I like asking interesting questions =)).
