About Me

Hi, my name is Tobias Gabriel Pfeifer and I am a 20 year old Steiner School graduate from Stuttgart, Germany. I would describe myself as very happy, open minded and always eager to learn! I love to laugh and make people laugh. One of my best friends back home once described my humor as “totally irrational with no base whatsoever but freaking hilarious at times” :D Of course I have many flaws as well but nothing I am not willing to work on to become a better version of myself. (Laughing my ass off while trying to be funny and failing miserably being one of them) 😅 Instagram: tobi_goapf

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I share the belief that you can only truly discover a country and its culture by getting in contact with the locals. In addition, I am really looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends all over the world :)

Interests

My two major practical interests are Music/Arts and Sports of many kinds.
I started playing piano at the age of 6 and I never lost my passion for it which I try to express and develop by writing my very own piano music since I am 9 years old.
Being active and healthy is a mayor part of my lifestyle in addition to a great passion for sports of all sorts. I enjoy running, swimming, lifting weights, biking, hiking and trekking and I can’t get enough of Track and Field, American Football, Basketball, Football, Volleyball and many more amazing sports.

Moreover, I love to learn as much as I can and teach the little I know in return. I take great interest in discovering the world and people around me and my culture and growing as an individual in the process of putting myself into situations I have never been in before.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy music of all genres and I like to keep an open mind to whatever triggers my emotions. My playlists reach from Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye and Queen over Tupac Shakur, Biggie Smalls and Eminem to Bruce Springsteen, Caravan Palace, Ludovico Einaudi and Sia...

The same applies to movies and TV Shows may it be “Lord of the Rings” or “The Wolf of Wall Street”; “Tom and Jerry”, “Friends” or “Game of Thrones” - I enjoy them all.

As for books, I like to keep the balance between challenging my mind and giving it a “rest” by digging into fantasy worlds, thrillers and great comedy.
I enjoy philosophical and historical works by writers such as Max Frisch, Sebastian Haffner and Heinrich A. Winkler as much as books by J.R.R. Tolkien, Simon Beckett and Jonas Jonasson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been lucky enough to be able to spend a year abroad in Ohio, USA. The experiences I gained about myself as an individual and another culture, along with a great number of important life lessons, is something I will always cherish!

Teach, Learn, Share

The little I know I am more than happy to share and teach - Just ask away!
And as far as learning goes, I would greatly enjoy learning about you, your culture, your country, your interests and so much more...

What I Can Share with Hosts

With hosts I can share my gratitude, my culture, my stories, my life lessons, my experiences, my interests, my passions and last but not least my personality :-)
And of course my music! (Granted you have a piano)

(...) I can also bake a pretty decent cherry pie ;-)
