Hello Couchsurfers!

My main goal of traveling is about evolving myself.

A few years ago when I started to plan trips for friends and myself the idea was to travel far far away to experience different cultures and countries - mainly countries that are well known for its backpacker-friendly infrastructure. But on the other hand, I experienced also a lot of negative aspects which are coming with mass-tourism (Gentrification, lots of waste, traffic, air pollution). While some aims are still the same, some have changed in the last years for me. There are also a lot of interesting countries, nature and people, not so far away, for which I don´t have to get on a plane and fly to the other "end" of the world. This doesn´t mean that I will never visit countries which are very far away but I try to lay my focus in the next years on trips in Europe and to places near Europe.

This was also the reason for my trip by train and cargo ship from Vienna through Czechia, Poland, Ukraine and above the Black Sea to Georgia. Otherwise then just getting on a plane which drops you off somewhere else this kind of slower traveling means for me that I get a better feeling for the distance and also a chance to explore places which haven´t been on my radar in the first place.

In Vienna, I am working at an architect´s office about four days a week, completing my practice for the architecture exam.
Beneath that I am active in some initiatives and collectives with topics like urban space activities, greener cities, changing mobility behaviour and raising awareness for rural building culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because i like to meet new people with different interests and from different countries. And i really like travelling through the world to get to know other cultures and attitudes toward life.
