I'm laidback German PhD student in Remote Sensing at the University of French Polynesia. I love travelling and discovering new people, cultures and landscapes so I decided to travel as much as I can during my studies. At the moment, I'm living on Tahit but I guess it's only a stopover on the way to find the right place to live.
I would describe myself as someone who enjoys to be with other people having adventures together or just a nice discussion with a glass of wine. I love to try new things and surpass my limits so one could say that I'm quite adventurous.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had some great experiences with couchsurfing when I traveld in the West Indies. I think it's the best way to get to know a new cultures and great people. Besides that, when I lived in Germany, I loved to share my apartement with travellers and to show them around.

Interests

I'm a kind of nature-guy I love being in the nature, doing hikes, riding a bike or just relax somewhere and pondering life's mysteries.
Besides that, I have a passion for islands since I was a child. As you can see the countries, I had been to, most of them are islands. Therefore I'm doing my PhD in remote sensing with a specialization on atolls ;)
