Overview
About Me
I am an easy-going, friendly and chilled person who loves to travel. It's a natural part of our humanity, and I feel so grateful to be able to travel in a world where we are often more focused on material things than the spiritual growth that travelling can bring. I'm not currently a verified member as I can't afford to be with the little that I use the app these days, but have been in the past. I've volunteered in Uganda, backpacked around Central America and walked El Camino in Spain. I've studied in Canada for a year and lived in Portugal for five months volunteering to plant trees and remove invasive species in an ancient forest as well as areas damaged by wildfires. I've also worked as a research volunteer in central Borneo collecting data on orangutans for my zoology dissertation. I'm very environmentally conscious so have now cut down on the air travel and am exploring more of the UK, often in my house-van, Ted. My most recent trip was cycling from Falmouth to Hereford on my vintage touring bike, Sally Kingfisher. My current trip is to Connemara in Ireland, hiking with my friend Jamie. We both hail from farms in Herefordshire.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've had some great couchsurfing experiences. The opportunity to meet new people, share stories, have fun and all without the exchange of a single penny is a lovely thing.

Teach, Learn, Share
Lots of random knowledge about animals. I'm quite shy and quiet at first but soon relax and become, in my option, quite a humorous character. I'm very passionate about biodiversity conservation, rewilding, regenerative agriculture etc and will be looking to specialise in this kind of thing after I finish my masters at CAT in sustainability and ecology. I'm good at identifying plants and knowing what's edible, how to cook it, and what its potential medicinal value could be. I've got good stories and even a poem or several up my sleeve. Sustainable practices and active hope facing the climate crisis...how to connect with nature. A virtually endless mine of jazz, funk and soul and many other kinds of music.
