I have lived and worked in Devon most my life and enjoy the rural aspect of it. I work as a children social worker in Exeter prior to going traveling. I have a brother, two sisters, three nephews and a niece all that live in the same town.

Me and my partner have been traveling since October starting out in Asia. We have been to Austrila and New Zealand and are now planning the U.S.

As a social workers we talk a lot about culture and how we can meet the cultural needs of the people that we work with. This is a real passion of mine and so to meet people in the local areas and get an experience of how they live and what's important to them would really enhance by trip. It's those discussions that allow you to have a better understand of a country and place. It is also the main thing that I have taken away from our trip so far, leaning about the Aborigines and Maori people. This is what I hope to get from couch surfing and also to meet new people that I would not have been able to otherwise. I can see that this offering a traveler a bed is a selfless act but, I would hope to provide good conversation and a real interest in the information that they are giving hopefully making this beneficial for them as well.

I enjoy sports all kinds and try to play a bit although have been eating far to much lately. I ran a half marathon just before we left England

I also enjoy watching movies, enjoy playing computer games and music.

My favourite music is drum and base and some of friends play gigs which I go to.
I am not a keen reader and mostly read for work.

I have recently watched the Lord of Rings movies which I enjoyed and appreciated more due to being in New Zealand.
