Overview
About Me
I grew up just outside London spending my summers as a late teen travelling Europe with my friends. I then went on to study an Undergraduate and Masters degree in Natural Sciences at UCL (in London). I have always enjoyed seeing new places and travelling the world. I managed to spend the third year of my degree abroad in Vancouver. Having now finished my degree, I am working as a program director for a UK based charity that helps improve social mobility for children across the UK and internationally. I am passionate about the environment, conservation and film making, and love great conversations with interesting, passionate people. Please ask me anything that you'd like to know.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm travelling around Cambodia for a few weeks to see it's beautiful cities, temples, and to learn about its environment and conservation. I'd love to be able to stay with locals to share great stories, travel tips and local knowledge.
Interests
I try to stay open to all new experiences so my interests can keep growing. However, I like playing many sports (Football (Soccer), Volleyball, Badminton, Cycling, running...) and I try to keep relatively fit and healthy.
I also enjoy making and watching movies (documentaries are a particular passion of mine). I greatly enjoy reading and learning about the history and culture of new peoples and places.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a wide range of music, currently: Connan Mockasin, Gorillaz, Glass Animals, Mac Demarco, Arctic Monkeys, Tame Impala and more...
There isn't much I can't get into in some way.
I am a bit of a movie buff and like movies from Trainspotting to The Great Beauty. I enjoying anything from Christopher Nolan, David Fincher, Hitchcock, Sofia Coppola etc.
I have recently enjoyed reading The Invention of Nature - a biography on the great Alexander Von Humboldt, Sapiens and I'm currently reading The Voyage Out and Midnight's Children. As a science student I find reading popular science really inspires me as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was younger I was lucky enough to be an extra in the last Harry Potter film as they were filmed close to my home. I'm proud to say I can be seen for about 1-2 whole seconds in the final cut 😜
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I love teaching people about the wonders of physics and cosmology. I love being able to attempt to describe the mysterious ways in which the universe works!
Learn: I am open to learn about anything, I love hearing about new ideas and discovering something that I was completely unaware of. I love hearing locals' stories of and insights into the places where they live - it makes for a much richer experience.
Share: being able to share knowledge is a priority in my field of studies - and so I enjoy stimulating conversations and hearing others' opinions.
