I am a returnee AFS exchange student (2016-2017) who was born in the US. Since I was 9 years old I live in Belgium. I'm 19 years old. I consider myself a fairly outgoing person (but I'm not the kind of guy that lives only to party and drink). I enjoy doing volunteer work with AFS, preparing the new students to leave and organzing activities with the international students staying in Belgium.

I'll be travelling Europe with an Interrail Pass in September 2017, so I'll probably be sending some last-minute requests... Sorry :/

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a silly idea that anybody should pay expensive hotels to stay someplace. Aren't we all people? The world is too big and too beautiful a place to stay on the same part of this giant rock our entire lives. Traveling should be made easy and it seems to me that Couchsurfing is trying to help realize this.

Teach, Learn, Share

I learned Spanish while I was in Bolivia and I'd be thrilled to speak Spanish with other people who are learning or already speak Spanish. I have an endless supply of great stories about my exchange year and I'd love to hear about and relate to my host's travel stories.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Assuming we both love travelling, I'm sure we'll have plenty to talk about ;-) . I'd love to cook some Bolivian/Belgian specialties or share about different cultures. And I'll try to bring some Belgian food to share with my host.
