About Me

I was born in Hackney, East-London to Italian-English parents. I moved to Bristol to study Biology due to my love of nature. In my spare time, I am the lead guitarist in a psychedelic rock band and play regular gigs. Bristol is a vibrant, young city full of culture, with a particularly thriving art, music and fashion scene. When I am not playing I enjoy going to gigs, galleries and the cinema, as well as socialising with friends and meeting new people. I have been lucky to visit many countries in Europe and across the globe. A few years back my brother and I went interrailing and it was one of the greatest adventures of my life, where we met lots of amazing, generous people who shared their experiences and diversity of cultures with us. This really gave me a flavour for travelling and ever since, no holiday has been the same without stopping in at least 5 or 6 countries!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In the past, I mainly stayed in hotels and hostels whilst travelling. I particularly enjoyed backpacker's hostels because it is so easy to socialise with fellow guests. I feel that I am ready for a new experience and that Couchsurfing will allow me to meet the people who live and breathe the countries I want to visit.

Music, Movies, and Books

One of my all time favourite bands is Radiohead. More recently I've been really into modern psychedelic bands like Tame Impala, Pond, The Moses Gun Collective and King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard. However my tastes vary massively, and generally, I enjoy music from all genres.
I love international films and Wim Wenders is one of my favourites directors with Wings of Desire being one of his best in my opinion. Other favourites include Drive, Chinatown, The Fith Element, The Grand Budapest Hotel and the Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou. My favourite author is Phillip K. Dick, and 'A Scanner Darkly' is probably his best novel in my opinion!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the spring of 2016, I Hitchhiked from Bristol to Dijon in France without spending a single penny, all in aid of Bristol Universities mental health charity ''Student Minds''. This taught me how generous and helpful strangers can be, and although daunting at times was one of the most rewarding things I have done. Not many feelings can compare to the relief I felt when someone finally agreed to take us across the channel from Dover, after trying to hitch a lift for 12 hours!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a passion for cooking and enjoy trying my hand at cuisines from all corners of the globe. I find it really rewarding to cook for other people and would be excited to do this for any host. I'm adventurous and lively and would enjoy sharing my stories and experiences, as well as learning from those of any host.
