ABOUT ME

Hi there I am Toby, 24 years old from Germany. I am a very open minded, humorous, outgoing personality (was once called the happiest german they know by a travelling couple)and interested in people from all over the world and enjoy listening to their storys. I love travelling and I am always up for new adventures.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Personally I believe that participating in CS is the best way to discover new places. It is not about the fact that you get to stay for free at someone's place but rather about diving into other people's life, getting to know them and their history will give you a total different insight of the country you are visiting. It is an amazing intercultural experience right at your door step and I would love to have more people visiting me in Germany too, especially if I can't travel. I already hosted an Aussie guy I became really good friends with during my travels and it was super fun playing the tourist in my own country as I would have never done so if I hadn't him staying with me.

兴趣

I like doing sports in my free time I always try to stay fit and healthy. I really enjoy hanging around with friends having a beer and just talk or have a good night out and I just discovered scuba diving as my new hobby on my recent travels it's awesome. I enjoy skiing and I'm always impressed by huge mountains covered in snow I enjoy the fresh air and I just like beeing outside in the nature.
And I also just started taking Salsa dancing lessons. If you know a place where to dance it take me there ;).

音乐、电影和书籍

To be honest I have never been a big "Bücherwurm" (bookworm - a person which reads a ton of books) as we say it in Germany I prefer listening to audio books and inspiring podcasts. But I am a big fan of the Harry Potter books they were a important part of my childhood.

Stepping out of my comfort zone and having started to travel by myself even if that is nothing special, for me it was.

As I am on a teacher professions programme at uni I hope I can put some of my teaching skills to use ;) by showing and telling you a little more about Germany, different types of sports, or my own stories which I would love to share with you.

Oh we can share lots of things such as a muesli bar, a post on facebook, an umbrella if it's raining or simply positive vibez, a good laugh and some beers or wine ;)
