Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just joined on arrival here in Rio - Just about to get involved and hopefully meet some awesome people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch-surfed once in Iceland years ago - organised by my girlfriend of the time - We met some really fantastic people who made us eat rotten shark (an Icelandic delicacy). I do recommend Iceland. I don't recommend rotten shark...

Interests

Everything. Yes, Everything. Let me explain:
pretty much anything is interesting when someone is super fascinated in it. Their fascination and interest is infectious and I can learn a little bit more about the world - awesome :)

My own interests? Many and varied...

  • coffee
  • religion

Music, Movies, and Books

this is an impossible category to complete - how about I just list a few things I'm reading/ watching/ listening in the last few days as I write this: -

reading:
Ikigai
Alienista
One Piece (Japanese Manga but Im reading in in Portuguese)
A peoples History of the USA
Capitaes da Areia

listening:
caetano veloso
capoeira songs (boca rica. Mestre Traira...)
manu chao
chopin
led zep

watching:
trope de elite 1 & 2
Brazil
Transformers (I was forced! But is was morbidly fascinating to see what Hollywood apparently thinks the kids of today want to see)
Batman Begins (surprisingly good)
Documentaries on Brasil/ Rio/ Favelas

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

way too many to single out and write about here - talk about it over a coffee/ caiprinha
