About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore; Discover; Learn; Create; Share... and, of course, love and laughter along the way!
ABOUT ME
I'm an easy going guy, who loves to laugh and have good conversation with new people.
I enjoy the outdoors, and am trying to see as many of our National Parks as possible. I'm equally amazed at the capacity of human creation, which draws me back into the cities, where I can easily lose myself in the magnificent architecture and street art.
When I'm not traveling, I'm an avid homebrewer of all sorts of beers. I especially enjoy learning about the history of beer, how different cultures and regions developed beer and similar fermented drinks, and incorporating that into my own brews.
My "day job" as a freelance web developer has lead me to be very active with a non-profit that operates mock trial programs for high school students from all over the world. I've been involved for five years, and every year there is more I'm able (and happy) to contribute, including event planning, marketing, and program development.
PHILOSOPHY
Peace. Love. Respect. Understanding.
All beings have the right to happiness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My current living situation prohibits hosting, so I'm just Surfing, but I deeply appreciate the hospitality and trust of others. When I'm able to establish my own place in the world, Surfers from all over will be welcomed with open arms, hot tea, good stories and comfy couches.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've found a few hosts so far through the CouchSurfing network - and some through chance encounters in life - and all were unbelievable experiences. As a traveler, getting a chance to stay with a local changes an experience from being lost in the city to getting to feel like it's your home for a few days. CouchSurfers are very open and interesting individuals, and there's something to be learned from each of them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent seven months living out of my car, traveling between San Diego and New York, starting up the West Coast to Seattle before heading east. I visited a huge range of National Parks, cities and communities of all types, and got to meet some really amazing people from all walks of life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've been homebrewing frequently for about 5 years now, and have a good understanding of the process, from a practical, scientific, and cultural standpoint.
I try to engage, learn, and reflect on society and life, and I enjoy sharing and discussing society, culture, religion, and philosophy.
I'm no gourmet, but I love to cook! (hosts: feel free to take advantage or teach me some local flavor!)
