About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm a dream traveler... trying to get out of the grind,

ABOUT ME

I'm an artist with a day job and a weekend wanderer. I love the outdoors, but I also love visiting cities. I find myself sometimes lost and not wanting to turn on the GPS... although, I should probably get a map. (c'est la vie)

I'm pretty easy going... I've slept in 90-120 degree weather and 100% humidity, I've camped where I probably shouldn't have. I try my best to live simple. I'm adventurous, I love exploring... moreover when there's a sign that says "Do not enter." I love and appreciate art. I have a background in art and I work as a User Interface Engineer.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I actually don't know where my place is in here yet... but I'll update this when I figure it out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only had great experiences on here. Couchsurfed in Salem OR and Monterey CA, made a few new friends. :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I love action, drama, and comedies... First movie I can think of is Forrest Gump.

Books: "Andrew Wyeth: A Secret Life" by Richard Merryman (biography), "Color" by Victoria Finlay, "Forms Folds Sizes" Technical Manual for Print...

Music: Cat Power, M. Ward, Feist, The Low Anthem, Joe Pug, and Jose Gonzalez; Love the blues, folk, americana, some pop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've ridden my bike on the worst storm to hit Malibu Beach (CA), the waves hit the 101 fwy with such fury, and the wind blew so hard, raindrops felt like razor blades grazing my skin.

Climbed the side of Mount Baldy (CA) in springtime, slipped on the melted snow, almost slid to my death... or hurt myself really bad.

Experienced the Grand Canyon, Salton Sea, our family island in the Philippines...
