About Me
Welcome
I live in the scottish countryside and I’m also lucky to have a cottage in a small beautiful seaside fishing village called Gardenstown too as well as being able to spend months away travelling in my classic campervans usually when it gets cold like a snowbird.
Love exploring, surfing, board game nights, festivals, gigs and playing guitar.
I’m a mechanic who restores retro cars and classic campervans for a living so there’s usually always a cosy camper to sleep in or my spare room in the house.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have lived in Aberdeenshire all my life, I am travelling in my camper van observing new lifestyles and looking for somewhere warmer to live by the sea and start a new chapter of my life. I’m hoping you enjoy living where you are and can share your experiences with me.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really enjoy reading sci fi and fantasy such as the Terry Pratchett and Harry Potter books. Music is pretty varied from legends of the 60’s like Jimi Hendrix to EDM and melodic folk music like mandolin orange. Love all sorts of movies from comedy, documentaries, romance, fantasy, car films, surf films, etc. Disutopian sci fi is my fav as i like to imagine what I would do in a survival situation like that, so far “tribes of europa” are closest to my survival plan (live in a 4x4 VW camper and keep moving).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Camped on a remote island beach near Hong Kong, cooked over a fire and surfed all day in bath temp warm clear sea.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to share the beautiful Scottish lifestyle with you such as playing musical instruments round the crackling fire in my countryside home. Taking you round the beautiful Scottish countryside, perhaps paddle boarding down the river Don or nature walks through the forests with a cosy pub and live music after a days exploring. The possibilities are endless and happy to make a plan around things you’d like to do and keen to hear about your traveling experiences that could very well inspire my next trip away.
