In 2005 I bought a Jeep Cherokee and drove cross country in the USA without GPS. Starting in Portland Oregon, down to Santa Barbara, across to Austin, Texas. Through New Orleans, to Naples Florida, then back up to New York. It was a refreshing, eye opening ride. It made me see just how kind and helpful strangers can be.
