Overview
About Me
Hi,
I'm a professional. I would describe myself as a nice, open and sane person. I'm very respectful of those around me. I would love to say I am the life of the party, but I'm probably the more serious guy enjoying the life of the party. However, I heavily feed off other people's energy and demeanor. And I'm certainly not shy.
I'm 5'8" brown hair, blue eyes. I'm a masculine, gay man, not that I flaunt it or harp on my sexuality. You certainly do not need to be gay or a man, just would not be a good fit if you're homophobic.
I enjoy traveling, just have not been able to travel as much as I would have liked in my lifetime. But, there's no time like the present.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here to broaden my horizons, meet new people both in my home and abroad. I love meeting new people and getting to know a city from a local's point of view. I'm also eager to help others on their quests and to hear of the their travels and help them with their stay in Miami.
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm probably more of Josh Groban/Adele kinda guy. Love to hear 80's and 90's music from my era. Not a big fan of what's out there today.
Movies? All types. Not so much of a romantic/comedy guy. Just too cheesy for me.
Books? I read so much for work, that I have lost my love to read for pleasure. I'm hoping that comes back.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing in what sense?
Amazing Experience? I don't think it's happened yet. At least I hope not. But, I guess I would have to say a 2 week stay in a 60 bedroom chateau on 300 acres of land in Cahn, France. It was just me and my partner at the time in the entire place as he was overseeing renovations for the owner. We did go to the "neighbors" to get milk and eggs. It was pretty awesome. Better than the time I spent in Paris. Although, that was great too.
Amazing thing? I would probably say that I have been self sufficient and self sustaining without the support of a family. I've never stopped working from 15 and was still able to pay for and get through 8 years of college. I have found success in the sense that I love my career, which takes more of our (or at least mine) time than anything else in life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Well, I'm a professor, so I could teach you things in my field. ha ha. I'm not sure what I can teach. I have life experience, so I guess that counts for something. I guess that would come under sharing.
Learn: I would love to learn about different cultures and places. Whether that be in the US or outside the US.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I think I'm a very accommodating person by nature, so a lot would depend on what they want from me. I think it's good to find out everyone's expectations. I can go from being a guest that chats with you over coffee to your best friend. Of course, most likely It would fall somewhere within that range. It also comes down to personalities and chemistry.
Again, I'm very accommodating and open to a lot of things. I'm craving new experiences in my life.
