Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some about the local food systems here in Fairbanks. I raise chickens and pigs. I also work on an organic farm and sell at the Farmers Market. I am a beginning cross country skier and enjoy looking at the northern lights. I would be happy to take you to the museum of the north and hoodoo brewery to discuss such things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I live on the southwest side of Fairbanks off Roland road. I live in a wet cabin with shower and indoor toilet! I have a big sweet old male dog who gets along well with others. I enjoy cooking and listening to good music. I am a graduate student at UAF so my schedule is pretty flexible. I may be able to loan you my bike so you can scoot around town. I work seasonally at a certified organic vegetable farm in Ester. I have blankets and coffee and vinyl music. I have a huge couch (i am 6'2" and sleep there comfortably) downstairs in the cabin main room, and a queen mattress where I sleep on the second floor so you would have some privacy, but not tons. I have six laying hens in the yard so I can cook you fresh clean eggs! I also have fresh Sockeye salmon from the Copper River that I netted.
