I'm 29 from Devon in the UK. I am an animator by profession specifically in Children's Television most recently on Mr Bean the Animated Series.
I grew up by the sea and grow restless during periods apart from her. I spent my childhood fishing, crabbing, swimming, tombstoning, hiking, camping. I studied many art forms up to university level then spent the following years creating cartoons for kids professionally. I have many plans in terms of my ambitions for what my future children should be viewing and consuming.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to keep moving like everything in this world should and I love meeting interesting people along the way. I love learning about anything I do not know and especially love learning that my conceptions were previously misguided. Anyone who can convince me that I might be mistaken is good for my development.
I'm on couchsurfing to meet interesting people and find that feeling of home in foreign places.

Interests

I like cycling, swimming, squash, yoga and lots of other physical activities. I am an artist by profession and love to draw in my free time or spend time reading/enjoying other artists work too. I love festivals of all sorts. I also play with the diabolo & juggle quite a lot.
I do love painting and hope one day to live in a terribly messy studio with paint everywhere, perhaps up a tree.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to listen to 8bit music that reminds me of playing on the gameboy as a child. I also love Reggae, Dub, Trance, Classical, Folk, Rock, Metal, Hip Hop, Swing. I have been around so anything made with passion can get my juices flowing.

My favourite movies are mostly animations especially Ghibli films. Belleville Rendez-vous, Delicatessen, Run Lola Run, Ernest et Celestine, Wes Anderson, Chaplin, Keaton ... I studied film so the list is almost endless.

Again there are a lot of books and favourites are for the short of mind. I especially like childrens' books hence my line of work. So Beatrix Potter, Lewis Caroll, FairyTales, The Little Prince, Peter Pan.
Otherwise I'm usually drawn to classics, Brave New world, The Metamorphosis, Ivan the Fool, Oscar Wilde, Catch 22 but I do make a rule to avoid books bigger than my fist for fear of forgetting reality.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have lots of experience with computers and art. Animation, Video editing, Web design etc. I can introduce hosts to all of my passions and even pass them on if so inclined. I also love cooking traditional food from Devon and introducing the world to clotted cream.
