About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Bike more miles than I drive

ABOUT ME

I'm open to (nearly) all things and people I encounter. I love trying new and crazy things, but most of all, I just love to explore new places and hear new ideas and philosophies from the people I meet along the way. My obsession is biking, and I want to cram as many bike tours as humanly possible into the next few years time.

I've spent 6 of the last 12 years of my life in Europe and I've loved every minute of my exploration of almost every corner of the continent.

PHILOSOPHY

Experience is everything! The more things you close yourself off too, the less rich your life will be. Only by trying EVERYTHING your presented with will your life be satisfying when your lying on your deathbed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfed in France, the Netherlands, Turkey, Norway, and in Germany and met fantastic people I never would have encountered otherwise...I've also finally gotten a chance to host some great people in Madison and surf in the U.S. as well, and more recently hosted great people while I lived in Berlin between 2010-11.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in Paris, Lille, Utrecht, Istanbul, Bursa, Buffalo, Magdeburg, Oslo, and more. I have yet to have anything resembling a negative experience surfing or hosting, and I hope it stays that way! I've hosted several people from the US and Canada in Madison as well as in Berlin.

Interests

I can be convinced to be interested in almost anything. It's all about appreciating what's new in any given situation. That said, my hobbies include cycling, racquet sports, listening to and making music, baking, reading a good book, and enjoying the occasional glass of Irish whiskey with a pale ale. Alas, there are no pale ales in Germany, so I settle for a quality north-German Pils.
