Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Until now, I was the happy guest of many kind cousurfing hosts. So now, I'd like to return the favour... whenever time permits.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed: Mainland China, Taiwan and Japan in Spring 2007, Sicily in September 2008.
Hosted: August in Bern

Interests

Generally interested in Asia with focus on Japan and China. If I have time, I like to read, books and magazines, about politic and economic issues, but also fiction. And I like to meet people, go out, have fun! And then I love good food and relaxing in Hot Springs (Japanese Hot Springs are my favourite).
Back in Switzerland I often go hiking and swimming.

Music, Movies, and Books

All time favorite movies: Underground (Emir Kusturica), La cite des enfants perdus (Jeunet), 25th hour (Spike Lee). I also like most of the actors with Italian names: Robert de Niro, Al Pacino and also Di Caprio.
I have on preferred style of music. I definitely like electro music for dancing, but I also love Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse and some Japanese stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived and worked for 2 years in Japan. Out of those two years I lived in a really traditional neighborhood in Tokyo for about 6 months. This neighborhood was like a little village in the center of the big metropolis. People living there form something like a big family. I was fortunate to become part of this family. That was amazing.
